Information we collect
We collect the account details you provide or share through a sign in provider, such as your email address, display name, avatar, and account identifier. We also store content and activity you create on MockingBoard, including drafts, boards, reports, articles, takes, follows, and reactions.
Our hosting and security systems process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and requested pages. Stripe processes payment details for paid plans. MockingBoard does not receive or store your full card number.
How we use information
We use this information to operate the service, authenticate accounts, save and display your work, provide community features, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve performance. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
External images
Images are retrieved only from approved providers, including Firebase Storage, Discord and Google avatar services, and ESPN or NFL image services. Some images are loaded directly by your browser. For those requests, the provider receives your IP address and browser information, but MockingBoard sends no page referrer. Other images are fetched through MockingBoard's image cache, so the provider receives the service request instead of your browser request.
Images attached to community content must use MockingBoard-managed storage. We do not load arbitrary image hosts supplied by users, which prevents posts from embedding third-party tracking pixels.
Service providers
We share information only as needed to run MockingBoard with providers such as Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting, authentication, and storage; Discord and Google for optional sign in; and Stripe for payments. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies.
Retention and account choices
We keep account and service data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, protect its integrity, and meet legal obligations. You can edit or delete supported content from the service and can request account deletion by contacting support. Some security, billing, or backup records may remain for a limited period when required for those purposes.
Children
MockingBoard is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@mockingboard.app.
